A-Gas R134a HFC Refrigerant
R134a is an HFC refrigerant used in automotive air conditioning and as a replacement for R12 and R22 in medium and high temperature refrigeration applications.
Suitable for commercial refrigeration, domestic refrigeration, transport refrigeration, mobile refrigeration and chillers, R134a offers comparable physical and thermodynamic properties to R12. It is a non-flammable A1 refrigerant and can be charged from either the liquid or vapour phase, making it practical for licensed refrigeration and air-conditioning technicians working across service, retrofit and replacement applications.

Safety & Documentation
R134a must be handled by appropriately licensed refrigeration and air-conditioning technicians. A-Gas notes that R134a can be charged from either the liquid or vapour phase, but compressor oil compatibility must be checked because compressors must be charged with polyolester oils.
Store cylinders in a cool, dry and well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight. Always refer to the current A-Gas Safety Data Sheet and equipment manufacturer guidance before use.
A-Gas R134a is a practical non-flammable A1 refrigerant for automotive air conditioning, commercial refrigeration, domestic refrigeration, transport refrigeration and suitable medium or high temperature retrofit applications.
