The Daikin FDYA180A-DV is a powerful single-phase reverse-cycle ducted air-conditioning system delivering 18.0kW rated cooling and 20.0kW rated heating capacity. It combines an Australian-made ducted indoor unit with a compact R32 inverter outdoor unit designed for larger homes and demanding residential applications.
The system incorporates an energy-efficient DC fan motor, automatic airflow adjustment, flexible zoning capability and an extended outdoor operating range. Its side-discharge outdoor unit is only 320mm deep, helping simplify installation where side access is limited.

Refrigerant Leak Detection
The optional BRY43A refrigerant leak-detector sensor may be required where the calculated refrigerant concentration exceeds the limits specified by AS/NZS 60335.2.40.
When configured with a compatible Daikin AirHub or zone controller, the system can respond to a detected refrigerant leak by stopping the compressor, operating the indoor fan and opening the connected zone dampers to help disperse refrigerant safely. The BRP9A73 accessory provides a leak-output relay signal for integration with compatible third-party controls.

Important Information
This package includes the FDYA180AV1 indoor unit and RZAS180DV1 outdoor unit only.
A wall controller is not included and must be ordered separately.
Ductwork, plenums, supply-air grilles, return-air grilles, filters, dampers, zone motors and installation materials are not included.
The supply-air opening is 350 × 918mm.
The return-air connection is a 393 × 918mm rectangular flanged opening.
The BRY43A refrigerant leak sensor and BRP9A73 output accessory are not included.
Refrigerant concentration calculations must be completed as part of the system design.
Installation must comply with current Daikin instructions and AS/NZS 60335.2.40 requirements.
R22 retrofit capability is not available for this 18.0kW model.
Installation must be completed by a suitably licensed air-conditioning and refrigeration technician.
